GVPi is a global services and data integration company specializing in web application development based
on open standards. We offer many services including data transformations, hosting and web services implementation, XML schema design and
implementation, Internet publishing and subscription management/access control, business processes, and data interoperability. Our targeted
markets include publishing, business-to-business, non-profit organizations (NPO), federal and state governments, health care organizations, and
homeland security/first responders.
Over the past 20 years, we have been a reseller and software business solutions provider of a number of enterprise wide
software solutions: Folio based products (now owned by Rocket Software Company), dtSearch, Adobe Acrobat and the Google Search appliance.
In the course of doing business, GVPi has developed core competencies in many of the technologies that are at the heart of
Internet searching and retrieval. GVPi has the staff, skills and facilities to develop sophisticated business-to-business CD-ROM and web solutions for
organizations that publish valuable content.
Today our PubPath Internet search platform is used by a number of large publishing companies and content providers
to distribute their content to subscribers and web users.
Where Are We Located
Although based in Alexandria, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, DC, USA, Global Village Publishing services many overseas
and international clients. We understand the need for applications which support localization and internationalization, and know how best to leverage
these capabilities in the current crop of global standards and XML-based technology.
Management
Our owners and staff have decades of experience in the creation and implementation of XML and related standards. They
possess a strong background in XML and SGML, and have experience with enterprise applications covering technical documentation and information
management systems, data translation, localization and internationalization, code management, e-commerce, statistical reporting, and metadata
management applications. Backed up by a team of experts in the business analysis, design, development, and testing of enterprise applications, we
are uniquely capable of delivering production-quality, standards-based solutions.
